The Central Library and Information Centre (CLIC) of the Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD), Lucknow is acknowledged as one of the foremost and leading library amongst Training Centre libraries all over the country. It is spread over three floors having a total collection of over 49,000 books, bound volumes of journals, CDs etc. Major subject areas covered are Human Resources Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Project Management, Training, Rural Development, Microfinance, Banking, Economics, Agriculture and its allied disciplines, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Behavioural Science and Entrepreneurship Development, Hindi & English Literature and fiction,etc
The Book Section & Audio-visual Section are fully computerised having a strong database of books and CD-ROMs using Library Software. A user friendly OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) is available for the users through a LAN (Local Area Network) within the Library.
The CLIC is located in a centrally air-conditioned building in BIRD Campus adjoining the Auditorium and near to Class Rooms and Administrative Wing of the Institute.
BIRD offers an Intellectual Tourism Package – an Unique Opportunity to Quench Intellectual Thirst to scholars and discerning public who are interested in intellectual pursuits such as research, writing of articles, books, etc. or referring to the bibliographical resources for their intellectual enrichment.

Online subscription to the database of Indiastat.com which covers a wide range of sector-wise, sub-sector-wise and state-wise statistical information about the country. The database is available for access by the participants of training programmes, Faculty Members & Officers of BIRD and National Bank Staff College (NBSC) as well as Officials of NABARD, Regional Office, Uttar Pradesh.
